Privacy Policy

ESJ Enterprises operates Storybook Colors and is the data controller for personal information processed to provide this service. We collect as little information as possible.

What we collect

• A parent's email address and sign-in details, to create the account.
• A record that the account bought the full book, so pages stay unlocked.
• Account identifiers, purchase status and transaction references, to provide access to each purchased book and handle support.
• Technical information such as IP addresses, device/browser details and error logs processed by our hosting and sign-in services for security and reliability.
• Scene descriptions, generation results and optional submitted notes, linked to a parent account when using personalized pages.

We do not collect information from children. Kids' colorings stay in their browser and are not uploaded.

Personalized coloring pages

When a parent creates a personalized page, their scene description is sent through Lovable AI Gateway to an image-generation provider. Please do not include a child's name, photograph, address, or other personal details. Generated pages are displayed in your browser. If you choose to copy a page to book notes, we store the page, scene description, optional note and submitting account privately for ESJ Enterprises to review for a future book sold separately. Other buyers cannot view these submissions.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We never see or store card details. Paddle's privacy policy applies to the information you give at checkout.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Service providers include Lovable Cloud for hosting, private storage and account services; Google when you choose Google sign-in; Lovable AI Gateway and its image provider for parent-requested generation; and Paddle as Merchant of Record for purchases, payment processing, tax compliance and invoicing. We may share relevant records with legal or accounting advisers and authorities where required by law. Providers may process data in countries other than yours, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Legal bases

We process account, purchase and requested-generation information to perform our contract with you. Security, fraud prevention and reliability processing relies on legitimate interests balanced against your rights. Records needed for accounting or legal compliance are processed under legal obligations. Optional submissions are made at your choice; where processing requires consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing.

Retention

Account and entitlement records are kept while needed to provide access to purchased books. Generation records and book-note submissions are retained while needed for troubleshooting or reviewing future-book contributions. Support and technical records are retained only as long as needed for their purposes. Payment and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal obligations, disputes and reasonable backup retention.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, account authentication, restricted owner access and private storage for submitted pages and purchased artwork. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials confidential.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential cookies or browser storage keep you signed in and preserve local coloring choices. Payment and sign-in providers may use essential storage for their services. We do not use the app to run targeted advertising. You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser; disabling essential storage can prevent sign-in or remove locally saved colors.

Your choices

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact the support channel on your receipt or paddle.net to have your request referred to ESJ Enterprises. We may verify your identity and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. Deleting an account may end access to purchased books; records subject to legal retention obligations may remain.
